There is a lot of discussion on line about the use of printed circuit board (PCB) fabrication as a manufacturing platform for biosensing, but what is not discussed is that most/all efforts to use PCBs as a sensor/biosensor substrate fail because of preamature corrossion. This has been known by the team at ZP for over two decades and the problem has been solved by Macias Sensors – Powered by ZP. In the adjacent image the gold PCB electrode has been stressed by taking the gold to 1 V and there is no evidence of electrode failure, thanks to the propriatary technology from Macias Sensors.
